Hi guys,
I'd rather not break this up if possible - but willing. OK - who of you old timers has heard of Balcar?
I have some VERY powerful Balcar equipment that I want to sell. I don't want to ship because it's all very heavy and fragile. A pick up in Kansas City is the way to go or I'll drive a reasonable distance to meet
Mind you, this stuff was purchased at Hallmark Cards (Corporate here in KC) auction. It's powerful enough to light up an auditorium, so you better have some room.
Here's a link to an owner's manual:
http://www.cameramanuals.org/flashes_meters/balcar_a1200-5000.pdfI have a completely refurbished A5000 and a couple of A1200s - With lights!
Each power pack has three channels each with its own variation dial. Modeling lights can be turned on or off. The slave units work. I will hate to see these go, but as you can see, this is a cumbersome kit better designed to stay put in someone's studio.
The A5000 has been totally refurbished. It works as new, although the case shows it age. One of the the two A1200s operates as it should. The other is a little quirky, but very usable.
I also have a few lights:
* Two of the later model rectangular gray ones - all bulbs and fans operate as they should and have the reflectors. They are in great shape.
* Three of the earlier silver bullet shapes ones. The bodies are a little beat up, but all bulbs are working and at least two of the 3 fans operate as well.
It's a great kit and puts out beautiful light, but it's much to powerful for what I want to do - plus as you are aware - not designed to set up in small quarters.
Let's hear some offers....
John
