Nope, it was a download when I purchased it. Would I be able to move it without the CD?

If it's on your computer as a download, you should be able to use it, but I would start looking for a replacement.

I'd copy the download program and run it to see if it installs.

You might want to look at Open Office at sourceforge.net and it's free. It's an open source version of Office and may do what you need done.

I do photography for a local high school senior events and have created templates in Publisher, however I bought a new computer and a stand alone version of Publisher is no longer available. It is a subscription, like Photoshop. I don't want to pay a monthly fee for this...any suggestions for replacing Publisher??

WPS Presentation is part of WPS Office, which is free. I have used their Microsoft Word and Excel substitutes, and they are virtually the same as and compatible with the Microsoft products. I've never had the occasion to look at WPS Presentation, so I don't know whether it would meet your requirements. Years ago I had and used the no longer available Microsoft Front Page, and presently am about to learn the NOW free Microsoft Expression Web - for which there is no Microsoft support, but plenty of tutorials on line. Whether it relates to your needs I do not know.

Incidentally, Microsoft Publisher 2016 is priced on the Microsoft website at $129.99 (not a subscription).

I bought office 2013 used for $30, unless you need the newest, and questionably greatest, office 2013 is a full non internet version.
I also downloaded the office picture manager plug in, IMHO Picture Manager has the simplest user interface for quick JPEG edits.

Another option is an open source DTP also from Libre.

I was recently looking for something to replace InDesign, and in the research I did, Scribus was mentioned time and time again as the best free alternative. I downloaded it. Haven't done much with it yet, but from the little bit of playing around I did do, it looks to be a very worthy option.

I have used a multitude of graphic programs over my work career and I highly recommend "Affinity Publisher". It is a one-time purchase that is not much more than one month of Adobe and it is everything that a professional publishing program should be and it reads and exports many other file formats. While you are at it, take a look at Affinity Photo also which sells for $50 and it is often referred to as the "Photoshop Killer".

It's the "I like it but don't want to pay for it" dilemma. From this query I gather you must be working for free at the events?? Maybe the booster club or athletic support groups would chip in to pay for it since you are working for free?? But if you charge for a service why not Publisher charging??

Here's a free Open Source publisher called "Scribus" https://www.scribus.net/downloads/

It also is an amazingly powerful Publish Program. You can check it out on YouTube as well. "Open Source" is a community that believes that software should be freely open to all. The Open Source Community makes the programs GIMP, Inkscape, Open Office, Scribus and a multitude of others. They are "Ad Free" so there are no advertisements or nag screens and they are not watered-down versions of commercial programs.

As the old saying goes, "Try it, you'll like it".

I downloaded WPS Office, but almost all of the templates require a Premium upgrade (it asin't free!) so I found it far less useful than Open Office, which is ALL free!

It's been a while, but I've used OpenOffice in the past.... I seem to recall it can work with files that were originally generated by Publisher and other MS Office programs (which I have and use on another computer).

OpenOffice is free.

Check it out at: https://www.openoffice.org/

I agree completely about using older versions of MS Office, I've used Open Office, Libre Office, and some other free open source programs. For me the open source programs work O.K. but I always run into the bug in the program, that costs me more time figuring a work around, or researching a fix.

I would contact Microsoft and request a link to download the Publisher that you own. The old download should work. You might also look at sdkey.com to see if you can buy a key to the New version.
