It's the top viewing platform - the entire monument is 200' high. I think my husband took that picture while I kept saying, "don't drop my camera!!"
p30 - Wow, Sue, that entire tower is stunning! I like
the "weathering" in addition to all the ornate
elements, and as far as it being 200' high, well,
let's just say I wouldn't have gotten that close to
the edge...LOL

Thank you so much, Tim! One of my "wee" hours of the morning shots.
Here is one more for today.
p31 - Roxie, wait; let me get this straight. Your family is nonchalantly
walking around on what is called "balancing rock" hundreds
of feet above "solid" ground, and you only call them "crazy?"
For me, I would call it a "death wish!"
I know I have a unnatural aversion to heights, but I truly
do admire people that can overcome those fears and show
such an adventurous spirit.
The image, while scary, is remarkable!

Final post this time around - I haven't made many comments b/c of all the time being spent on the church construction project and being so tired when I get home (my brain is pretty much fried at this point!) but I've seen all the pictures and they're all great. This has been another excellent challenge.
This is my favorite overlook in Edinburgh - Arthur's Seat. I've climbed it twice and hope to do it again if we get to go back to Scotland next fall.
p32 - Sue, you continue to display fantastic images that show
the eye of a true artist; color and composition are perfect.
I do have to ask, though, what is the young man leaning on
in the second image?

Thanks for your kind comments! As far as the young man, I haven't the foggiest idea - he was just in the right place at the right time.

Well, that settles it then! You HAVE to go back this year
and find out what he was leaning against!!!

Beautiful Capture Thom..Is that Blue/Green Streak a Shooting Star perhaps??..Pg. 32
Actually, that was vertical lens flare. When I was working it up in PP I originally took it out. After closer examination, I liked it, so I ran it through Photoshop and turned it so it would look like a shooting star.
