This is my favorite shot of Aspens this year. Sometimes some of the best shots unexpectedly show up.

And not without reason.

Spent a few days in Colorado Springs and remember it mostly for some of America's Darwin Award contenders prodding shrubs trying to get a response from the rattlesnakes in the shrubbery around Garden of the Gods.

Everything about your image is lovely, Rowedean. Very nicely seen.

But I question whether the black border works to its benefit. Personal opinion only, not a criticism.

Thanks. Probably don't need it - just wanted to see what it would look like. I'm planning to print this image.

I spend a good part of the summer in western Colorado, but heading home for the winter this week. One of the trails in Garden of the Gods is now closed because of snakes. I'm always careful in the park. Beautiful park though.

Beautiful and it demonstrates the fact that aspens propagate by sending out new roots that then produce another tree. Don't know if the clearing around the bunch is indicative of a die-off or a burned area from a harsh fire in the past. In any case, I think it's unique as well as beautiful.

This shot was north of Crested Butte at about 9000 ft elevation and aspens are rather unique trees. I do know that if you have one in your yard, you can count on new ones popping up. I love this shot and will probably print it. Thanks for your comment.
