That will be one of the things on the list of post items. Right now I am just working off my iPad Pro. The light from the trees is what pulled me in originally. Yes, this is a lot clearer, but that could be because of the lens.

Are you saying the iPad Pro can’t process? Or that you just don’t have any program on it? Nice photo btw.

Traveling in the Sierras for a bit and came across some beauties on Rte 88. Since I do not have Elements on my IPad, I only changed the light a bit and did minor cropping. Would love to hear some feedback. These are at medium file size.
I will be looking for some more nice Aspen groves to shoot while here and I can always use shooting tips.
Autumn has fallen. Crisp nights and cool days are coming.

Both of these photos are very nice. The first one appeals to me more because of the thoughtful composition. The tree in the foreground and the lake and mountains completing the scene. The second shot is much more about the trees and not what is around them. Maybe a bit more context would have been nice.

Regarding your note about a tripod. I use a tripod for almost all my landscape shots. If nothing else, it makes composition easier. It does slow the process down and that can be good and bad.

No, the iPad can, I just can’t see the details very well on the smaller screen and Elements has a better processing option for highlights and shadow.

The Cedar tree landscape shot is also my favorite. It pulls me in and keeps my eye busy.
I normally shoot hand held for almost everything. My hands are still steady will little or no shake. But I have been taking my tripod along on these excursions lately. Like you said, it takes a little more time to set up and I am the impatient type so it take a mindset change for me. But I am getting there.

I hear you. There are many members who do not like to carry a tripod because of the inconvenience. I can see their point. I just happen to be someone who likes using them. Weird, I know. lol
