Would like to know if anyone has a Fujifilm X series camera (particularly the X10) and whether it compares favorably with quality SLRs and lenses.

My daughter just bought the fugifilm x100. She also has aNikon 7000. She is a pro photographer and wanted a good pocket camera. We are unable to tell the difference in the pictures from the two cameras. . She liked the idea of a fixed 35mm. Neat camera. I'm saving my pennies for one now.

I have the Fujifilm HS30EXR having previously owned the Fujifilm S5000.

Both cameras are excellent. The HS30EXR has a fantastic ability to take low light night shots in auto mode and the results are just perfect.

I am now looking for a Fuji EF-20 or EF-42 shoee mount flash to go with it. Although having blown the budget on the camera, I need to find an inexpensive (perhaps 2nd hand model.

I have the X100 and it is fantastic...........the X10 is a very fine camera also...........

There is a long thread on the Pentax forum with dozens of X10 owners posting pics and comments.

Had some doubts about quality issues and filters with lens hoods, but I guess they have been resolved?

Thanks,
