North Rim - Grand Canyon #2

Here's a second set of photos from my 2012 trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. As previously explained, fires in Colorado caused smoke to flow through the canyon, partially blocking the sun and resulting in muted color and skies.

One of my top 3 places in the world. Why would anyone fight the tourist swamp of the South Rim to forego this? I know it's a lot tougher to get to but thank Mom Nature it is.

It’s not convenient, but as long as you have to go all that way, you might as well drop in on Zion, Cedar Breaks, and Bryce...all beautiful locations.

I know just what you mean. I was last there in 2012. I would have liked to go again this summer, but life kind of went haywire for a while. Maybe 2019. Have a great weekend.
