The monsoon pretty much restricts movement and we had a fair bit of rain this year. To keep myself occupied I decided to look at the world of Macro photography. Great fun and as challenging as bird photography. Am enjoying it! A few images from recent attempts. Hope you find them as interesting.

Are you sure you just took up macro this Monsoon? These beautiful shots are very good and for the most part the subjects are as ugly as your birds are beautiful.

Have you tried focus stacking yet?

You certainly chose some very interesting subjects. May I ask what lens you used. Great depth of field.

Yes Sir, I did indeed. There is so much mystery in that ugly beautiness!!

I have used my D850 for focus stacking some of these shots. Very interesting

Many thanks! I used a D7200 with the old (1993, I believe) Nikkor 200mm f4D lens and a D850 with the new Tamron SP 90mm f2.8 for photo stacking.
