No matter what I do I can not update my LR Desk Top Classic to the latest version. Using the "update" menue in LR I started the process. Photo Shop, LR CC and LR Desk Top Classic all show the need of an up date. The 1st two update just fine. LR Desk Top Classic ( the one I use) will not update...it gives me a dialogue box to save data and shut down LR...did both, also used Task Manger to shut down errant processes...the I re-booted. All to no avail. Tried this process three times...same dialogue box.
HELP...Thanks
Try opening a chat with Adobe given you have a subscription and access to their technical support team. They'll be best able to help.
I always run updates from the Adobe Creative Cloud App tab rather than from inside LR.
Might give that a try.

Always do the update via the Adobe Creative Cloud App. I had the same difficulty updating from within the program.

Yes, I had the same thing happen once. Opening within CC fixed it.

After you try to run the update, reboot your computer. I have had a similar problem, so I rebooted and ran it again. It was worked on at least two occasions.
