Some of the clip files titles were to long. I shortened some and it worked. A few were marked not complete.
It was created by the client for editing but isn’t this what Dropbox is for. The billed me $100 for a year one month when I am a monthly customer. To me their interface is clumsy trying to give you a business management team sharing process.
I want storage and send. The file mentioned was a big file and I think that they use slowdown to get an upgrade.
I have 1 TB with less than 10% used. It shouldn’t take 6 hours to send a big file.
I pay for Vimeo same thing they want to manage every customer with video files I should look at
And interference with linked files I use for my video work.

My problem may be similar or related to what you are describing. What I sent was 5 (approximately) 32MB DNG files, that is at least 160MB. The issue might be at my Pals end, because when I've used dropbox for sharing with my wife's PC a 118MB audio files was available immediately.

Sorry, pondering the issue on my own. The recipient say he gets nothing not a link or anything. He only knows I sent him something because I either email him or UHH PM him that I did. He knows more about DropBox than I do. They don't want to communicate directly with their customers being some mystery crap. It have work OK for others I've sent things too, even people with no DropBox of their own. Works, even the same files to my wife's PC in another room. The only thing that I know that is different about this fellow UHH'er is he has his own domain. He knows computers as he is talking about a ftp for my files. Thanks for at least reading and offering some info. Most of the technical stuff you referred to or asked I have no idea.

???? The recipient is not even getting a link in the email you sent or is not getting the email? Are you sending from within Dropbox or are you copying a link and sending it directly in an email (which is what I always do, it just seems easier to me.)

I am trying to Share RAW files with a fellow UHH'er for Calibration purposes, so he can examine my unaltered RAW files (as they appear in ACR unadjusted) via DropBox. For some reason he is not receiving my approximately 32MB each DNG files. Yet I can send a 118MB mp3 music alum to my wife's PC and to other friends who don't even have DropBox installed (they get a link in their regular email). Does DropBox have some security settings that treat image files differently than audio files. It does not seem to be a size issue from what I can tell. Any thoughts? Help? (DropBox is essentially like FaceBook, there is no Help.) Thank you.

You can also use Google Drive and OneDrive.

I’ve noticed that when I send large files over google email it says they are too large to email so it will make a link out of my files and email the links to the recipient. You could try that.

I’m having a problem with DropBox, too. I’m a photographer for my local county fire department and they set up a DropBox for us to submit our photos. But, I can’t put up more than about 30 photos (average 10-12 MB each) before I get a “Your DropBox is almost full” warning and a request for me to upgrade my account.

From with in DropBox. Like I said others get my links fine and are able to retrieve the files. We may have solved the problem using ftp.

Whenever, I want to make sure it arrives correctly, I copy the link and send a direct email from my own email account. This makes later communication regarding the images easier and I can check the link in the email.

With the free Dropbox account you get limited storage (1.5GB as I recall). I used the free version for a long time, then when I bought a new computer a couple of years ago it came with a 20GB Dropbox account for a year. At the end of the year I upgraded to a 1TB account for $100/year. I store all of my photos on Dropbox as my cloud storage and for sharing. I have sent many large images (at least 300-400 of about 10MB each) via a Dropbox link without a problem. I'm almost at my 1TB limit and will be upgrading soon to 2TB. I'm very happy with the service and have never had a problem.

I may not have a choice. But, I’d think that a fire department that set up a DropBox account for their contributing photographers could spring for a large enough account so that uploading won’t be a problem. Or, am I not understanding how this works? Am I going to have get my OWN account for $100/year?

You can get a business account that can be shared with and used by people in the business with permission to use by whomever you want to include. The information is at dropbox.com

If it is their account, they need to make it larger. They should be able to find enough fire department supports willing to open dropbox accounts through their reference to increase the free account. On the other hand, they may not off load the pictures to archive and have just run out of space.
