I have been watching posts on UHH for awhile now. I just decided to contribute. I used to be a pro-photographer many years ago. One bad wedding caused me to pawn my cameras and equipment. I was born of film(yep, I'm old now). I just got interested in digital and I grown to love it. I have grown to understand how many rolls of film I would have to shoot to get the results I have now. I don't have to depend on someone else to determine my exposures or tell me my photos aren't within their morality parameters. I've enjoyed the photos I've seen and I've once again decided to participe in the discussion and let others purview my own creations. I prefer not to be too critical of others because my vision, of course, isn't theirs.

Hi, Marianne, welcome to the Forum. I also started with film cameras (120 mm) and few years back moved to digital. My last film camera was a Nikon F-100 that I still have and works fine.

Welcome aboard and never stop shooting.
Welcome--look forward to your posts.
Glad to see you here. I am also a former Pro Photographer "Retired". Going Digital is a lot simpler.

Hi Marianne, welcome to UHH. Like others have said, i also started off with film...naturally...there was no digital way back when, lol. I had a brother who took wedding pics, and he brought me into it. I did one shoot with him and botched my shots, lol, and that was the last wedding i ever did. (It was also the first.) I look forward to seeing your work as we all do, and entering into discussions about your work, and i invite you to peruse my flickr account and let me know what you think.
Ask questions and get many answers. Get to know people, make some friends, but above all, have fun.

Welcome M. Let me tell you about the folks here. I asked the group of some updates and information on flash, strobe situations.
I shoot mostly video for profit and art and take stills some of the time. Recently worked with an outstanding portrait photographer a talented lady.
I bought some powerful flashes (had strobes years ago) starting playing but needed help and advice. Posted my situation and by the next
day got information on experts for different kinds for light work. And excellent response I used the information. This is why I stay with UH.
Ask and you will get expert and optional opinions and expertise. Welcome.
Welcome to the forum Marianne.
