Here are a few of the photos I shot today at the Huntington Central Park in Huntington Beach, CA. The migrant birds are beginning to arrive, and the day was wonderfully warm but with a nice breeze. Each of the white flowers was only about 1-1/2 inches across, which gives you an idea of how small the butterflies were. They were both about the same size (maybe 5/8" long) with fairly plain gray outer wings. I felt lucky when they posed with their wings open. The Townsend's Warbler is a migrant who came to a pool of water where I was waiting. It was very shady and I didn't compensate enough for the darkness...hence a very noisy picture. Frankly, given the underexposure, I think it came out OK. The Ibis was hanging around with a group of Mallard Ducks, but I had a nice close view and lots of light. Hope you enjoy these.
I think this is an Echo Blue - small but beautiful

Wonderful series of shots. Never been to Huntington Central Park and I live in the San Fernando Valley. Now I have reason to go there.
Beautiful shots, jak86094
