Here is a photo I took with my iPhone8 this last weekend. I am finding myself using and enjoying the pictures more and more. I have been a “serious” hobbyist for decades going from film to digital, lugging heavy equipment and, well you know the drill. With all the limitations of using the cell phone, I am conflicted after printing this photo of the Broadmoor Hotel. I always have the phone with me, and for convenience, you just can’t beat it. I printed a 16x9” and I will place it in my gallery. I am not trying to convince anyone, just wanted to share. Thanks for looking.

Looks fine. iPhone shots are fine for what you intend. Using the media for an expression or idea has always been a part of art. Great paints or $10,000 cameras do not make for fine work.
BTW, for those who swear that the lens does not affect perspective (never showing, but always quoting or misquoting others who share the dogma), check out the building on the far right. 'Course, maybe it was just windy that day. :-)

Cell phone camera photography is just another form of digital photography.

I am surprised by how well they work especially for portraits - face recognition while taking pictures, but sophisticated PP as well. My iphone 8Plus has two separate cameras a 1x and 2x and up to 10x digital zoom with 12.8mp sensors. Truly amazing. Won't give up my dslrs any time soon, but its nice to always have a capable wide angle camera in my pocket.

I won't give up my DSLR's; but my iPhone 7Plus produces great images that I have had enlarged to 20" by 30" with incredible resolution.

Nice!
I just got a new iPhone 8+ and am looking forward to taking photos with it as a replacement for a pocket camera.

Well i can't tell you what camera you used...but the photo came out just beautiful. iPhones have a place in photography.

I have even seen a group taking wedding photos with an iPhone camera. I have taken some very nice shots with mine. I always have it in my shirt pocket so it is handy when something comes up that I want to photograph. I will soon be 78 years old and am still able to work, (I drive a paratransit bus working with the handicapped). I have taken my DSLR along, hanging it over the back of the seat but it is never convenient to use it. The iPhone can be used in just seconds.

Very good shot! These phone companies are going to keep improving 'till they will find that they have eventually invented a real camera!

I know that it is technically imperfect, but even though I am unwilling to give up my Sony’s, I am not hesitant to show off some of the phone shots. Thanks for the kind comments.

I'm waiting for the iPhone (or any cellphone) that has an eye-level viewfinder.
