OK, need some pointers. Just got my hands on a canon 16-35mm f2.8L ll lens. I have been shooting this morning and so far am pleased with the results. I have done a series of land scape shots in back yard at 16, 20, 24, 28, 30, & 35 mm focused at infinity. I have pixel peeped and all look good. I did the same with focus set at middle and closer and still am pleased. What other tests might I do with this lens before I part with the cash. I have checked the lens over good with a light and can see nothing, MF & AF work fine. Just want to know what Hogs might look for. I can save $600 + tax buying this one over a new one.

It is a great lens. I own one and use it often.
Since you have tested the basics, I'd buy it for that price in a NY minute!
Check for CA? Find something with sharp edges (leaves/branches) that are brightly backlit and compare any CA against another lens
