Lines & angles

I enjoy shooting this quiet location with all its lines and angles and architecture. I go here to decompress because access is limited. These were taken with a D850 and vintage Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 manual focus lens from my film days. D850 set to monochrome>black & white, the red filter effect was applied in camera. Weather was ideal; broken clouds were perfect for shooting. Used a polarizer too. All shot offhand. One of these times I should use a tripod??? These are original JPEG's, no editing done.

Nice series, B&W is the perfect medium. The shadows & angles in 2&3 are fantastic.

I agree with TBerwick. This is really a nice series. 2 and 3 catch the title the best with 2 as my favorite.

This location is great in the Fall because there are a lot of sugar maples there. Part of the reason for this post in black & white, the size of the image files. None of the posted files have been edited in any way and they are part of only a handful of files at or under 20MB. A Nikon D850 creates some large files even for JPEG's, but I am glad about that because those JPEG's without editing, except for maybe some minor cropping, print out nicely as 8" x 12" which I use as my proof size before going as large as 24" x 36" on paper.
