I guess it depends on your definition of many. I'm sure you do sometimes. I don't agree with your examples. Not everything that is said, that later on turns up not to be factual,l is a lie. She is no longer anonymous. She should be heard. It should be investigated. If her claims are determined not to be credible, and he gets on the court a few weeks later than was planned, what harm was done? I would agree with many, that an act like this done while in high school shouldn't ruin someone's life, but not getting on the supreme court isn't exactly having one's life ruined. We're not talking about putting him in jail, or even kicking him off the court he currently sits on.

That she talked about it years ago, does give it more credibility. It may not prove it, but it eliminates some possible motives, and makes it much more believable.
