Alaska fall colors in mid-September with clear blue skies. Beautiful days - that won't last much longer. The first photo is the Matanuska River with the remaining photos of Denali from the Parks Highway.

Stunning. Plus you have given me the idea of possibly Jeannie and me taking a short vacation there. Looks breathtaking! Any ideas about getting there from Southern Oregon?

Only real option is to fly to Anchorage and rent a car. From Seattle the distance is approximately 2,300 miles one way. The first photo is approximately 90 miles from Anchorage on the Glenn Highway. The other photos are 150 miles from Anchorage on the Parks Highway.

Many thanks. We checked and there are very reasonably priced flights from Medford, here in Southern Oregon, to Anchorage. It sounds like a wonderful place to come.
