I second Assateague. There is a state park and Assateague National Seashore close by. Wild ponies are the biggest attraction.

Although it's a bit of a trip from OCMD, it's a trip worth making. In the middle of the Chesapeake Bay is Tangier island. This place is only obtainable by ferry and no cars or pets are allowed. It is like visiting another country. If you don't mind walking, Tangier island is loaded with photos ops and some pretty good seafood also. If you have the time I strongly suggest a trip to Tangier island.

Good idea. See the island before it disappears due to rising water level

Assateague island south of Ocean City is always good. To the north you have the historic downtown Lewes Delaware and Cape Henlopen Delaware State Park. There are always photo opportunities on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Just got home from a week there. Have a good time. Plenty of good eating there also.

Go north into Delaware and check out the concrete towers. Great photo studies in shape and contrast.

Down the end of the board walk, what they call the Jetty is where the boats come in from the ocean to the bay. This was created in the 30's from a storm. Then stop at MR Ducks for a cold one with a view.
