Yellowstone at different places. I think it was a productive day.

We are Yellowstone fans and have made several trips since 1964, five since 2012. Too bad it's so far from home and we're so old!
Thanks for looking.
Made several trips to Yellowstone since '64 and 5 since 2012. WOW! I am jealous. A couple weeks ago was my first visit to Yellowstone. Wished I did it years ago. Plan to return, soon. Don't you let me tie your record.

Nice pics. I've been to Yellowstone a few times and it's always amazed me how close people get to the "wild" animals. I guess they don't realize just how dangerous those animals can be. I'm a big believe in telephoto lenses when it comes to photographing wildlife that could seriously injure or kill me.
Thanks for looking. Also, thanks for reminder about keeping distance from wild animals. I do follow the rules and keep all the necessary precautions for safety. I checked out your photos re: that person who came too close to a bison. A 15-minute of fame or hoping for a 30-sec clip on YouTube to go viral is not worth the risk. But, some people just can't help it. They were born that way - dumb. FYI, if you remember that guy on YouTube who taunted a moose in a national park, please someone correct me, I think he was fined $1000 and banned from all national parks for 5 years. Good, one rascal out of the park. He should have been banned for life.

Thanks for the name clarification re: pronghorn including the scientific name. Looks like can't decide whether it's a goat or an antelope. Smart move to stay neutral - pronghorn.
Hmmmm, the Pronghorn Party. Already got my vote!
Very fine images. Yellowstone wildlife at its best. I would be a huge fan of #3 if it was a tad more level. The bison parade is pretty cool.
Nice shots. Just leaving Yellowstone myself.
What a great park!
I'll post some pics later.
Awesome shots! Well done.

Indeed, Yellowstone Rocks!
Yellowstone's Steaming!
The OLD (Me) and the FAITHFUL (Wife): Yellowstone, you just blew our minds!.
Can't wait to see your photos from Yellowstone.

Very nice series that shows some of the things Yellowstone is noted for!/quote]
I agree.
One note: Those people are way too close to a bull elk during the rut in the 5th picture. Those guys are too fast, too strong and too unpredictable to trust your ability to escape when they charge. That is why telephoto lenses exist.
We were in Yellowstone in 2004 the traffic stopped to let some bison cross the road and a young asian woman got out of their car and grabbed a bison by the tail the result was not pretty I could not believe my own eyes we had to wait for the fangs and ambulance tocl=AR the road my wife almost went into shock at such idiocy
