Most folks think Kansas is flat as a pancake and is considered a "fly over" state - We also have Mushroom Rock State Park which is pretty interesting - it's a relatively small park and if you go in the summer, take mosquito spray and something cold to drink...

There are other formations in the western end of the state that are unique - the monument rocks and castle rock are pillars of limestone that remained when the water receded - the state was under water eons ago...
