I want to replace my SX-50 with a camera that has WiFi and many of the SX-50 features. I might want one that has a larger sensor.

If the price isn't too much for your budget, check out the new Nikon P1000. Shots RAW and has a 3000mm optical zoom.

I got an opportunity to attend a Nikon function on Thursday and got a chance to get some hands-on tome with the P1000 as well as the new mirrorless Z6 and Z7 models and the 3 new lenses for them.

I have a Canon SX50 too and if I had the $1000 available I would definitely grab up a P1000.

Take a look at the Panasonic Lumix FZ-1000.

The Canon SX60 has wi-fi, and a 65X zoom so that might be a good option. If you are looking for a 1 inch sensor, the Sony RX10 IV seems to be (by far) the best on the market right now, but it is expensive. The 1 inch sensor cameras also tend to have less reach. You may have to decide which is more important to you, the extremely long reach, or the improved low light capability of a 1 inch sensor. Someone mentioned the Nikon P1000, but the P900 is still a good option in a super zoom camera with its 83X zoom, and is about half the price of the P1000.

If you need a replacement right away there are a lot of good ones. If you want to stay with Canon for ease of learning curve and can get by for while the SX70 seems to be in the pipeline for the near future. No specs yet. https://www.canonwatch.com/

An interesting choice is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 with a 1" sensor, wi-fi, 25-400mm (35mm equiv) f/2.8-4 lens now on sale new for ~$600

The OP may find it difficult to go from a 50X zoom all the way down to the 16X zoom in the FZ1000.

True, but for a 1" sensor and f/2.8-4 lens, it isn't bad. I hardly ever find I use more than 400mm.

I believe that I am correct in saying that a "1 inch sensor" is not a 1 inch sensor if this refers to actual size, but is much smaller than 1 inch, so when comparing sensor sizes for possible photographic performance other than reach, beware!

Take a look at the Kodak PIXPRO AZ901. The manual with specs is on line. It as a 90X optical zoom up to 1980mm (35mm equiv.) and WiFi. Cost is a bit under $500.

Could the "1 inch" sensor actually mean "1 square inch"? Either way, it seems to be a great step up from the tiny, cell-phone-sized sensors of many bridge cameras.

If the price is not too exorbitant, consider the Sony RX10 IV. It's a phenomenal camera. I bought one in July and am actually considering selling my two Canon DSLR's and lenses.

Maybe you should search your soul first?
How important is it for you - that almost unrealistic far reaching zoom when you know, that you can't hold it and even a light weight tripod is not a great help?
However, a larger sensor like the "1" inch (it is actually smaller than one inch) size gives you a better quality pictures.
I did some testing with my SX50 from a heavy tripod (eight pounds) and a full zoom extension to 1200mm.
That convinced me, how foolish it is to go over 400 mm lens.
I love my SX50, but when I go for my usual outdoor photogrphy trips, the camera like Panasonic FZ1000 (zoom up to 400mm) is my favorite and if I want a better quality pictures, I'll take even larger sensor camera.
Let us know, what is your photography field?
Good Luck!

Get an SX60. You’re used to the camera’s control setup and features, making the transition would be snap.
