Your beautiful shot can preserve the memory but we all need to push to preserve the real thing for future generations!

Yes, Carol, I fully agree.
Thank you for your positive consideration!

Sometimes I also wonder, if it is any good to bring images from such a pristine, wild environment, because it may bring the large crowds in?
On the other hand, some people who don't know yet, need to know the values we are loosing now - every day?
Perhaps helping them to understand better to the importance of preserving our environment?

Last night I saw on TV a report about a primeval area in Brasil - size of our Yellowstone National Park being clear cut - just for charcoal manufacturing.
According the calculations coming from the same source, the Earth lost in the past ten years 30% of oxygen producing plants.
What in the World are we doing?

Nice, anyone catch the bit of snow left above the tree line in about the center of the photo?

You are correct, DaveC1, there is some snow on that image.
I could call this image "The last snowfield on Continental Divide"?
BTW, it looks tiny, but it is at least 200 feet long.
I took this view also to show the damage on trees caused by avalanches.
