I think the green eye in wolves is like the red eye in humans, but interesting to see. I assume this wolf is in captivity somewhere. Nice detail in the fur on one and three. I think your crop of three is good but perhaps you could have put more space in front of the wolf and removed a little more of the neck if necessary to change the dynamics of the image.
They actually glow white, or a tint of red. We have 18 wolves, Luna is the only one with the 'green eye glow'. A walk through the santuary at night is pretty erie!
#3 need a lot of post-editing work. And it's a bit under-exposed... I just like the shot of his snout, ha, ha.
last pic needed some erect ear. that would have been a winner for me. I love the green eyes though.
these are a little better

Looks like you have a great opportunity to capture images of wolves. Where is the sanctuary? I like the look we are getting in the first image of your second post.
Thanks! Were in North Florida. Definitely a good opportunity to shoot wildlife, cheating
since theyre captive but that presents a set of challenges as well. Though their enclosures are huge, as soon as I go in, they love to press up against the fence, and theyre constantly in motion. The only way to get them to stay still is by throwing them a bone then its dangerous to go in because of food aggression. Id like to get some more pics at a low perspective, but lowering my head shows submission, which is no good when Im at close range. We take em out for walks a lot, but they cant be let off the leash cause theyll kill all the chickens, lol.
I have a few good shots that need post-editing work. Mostly cropping out the barrier fence... gotta love content-aware! Ill get them posted soon.

Good point, I didn't realize how many times I 'clipped' the ears. They're always in motion, and tough to shoot. I have no idea how people capture them in the wild. I have a lot of respect for field wildlife. I get to cheat, and it's still difficult!

Look forward to your future posts.
Love your wolf images. They are beautiful animals and other than in captivity I have not seen one close up for a potrait type picture but I worked in Yellowstone for 10 years and did get to watch them being wolves. Here are a few. The first was a shot of an encounter with elk. There were 5 wolves in the pack Elk stood their ground and charged. Elk won this round.
I like them all. If I were to walk by a barn and see number two it would certainly give me the creeps.
