I never had a Grand Mother but i'm sure she would have made jelly also.Now you went and made me hungry. :shock:

We always had these growing up and the jelly is wonderful. Great shots!

My wife loves them, me not so much. There are some vines along a road behind our house that we pick them from every year, but they are not ready quite yet...

Not to much of a bounty this year but they are larger since i cut them back hard.I'll have to try jelly or maybe wine.Thanks Horesart

Yeah,the skin is thick but they grow well in Florida.I could do with out the seeds too seems any thing good has drawbacks as well.I have not seen any growing wild in my hikes though they are native.Florida would be ahead of Georgia for ripeness .just now there ripe and going fast.

These are beautiful shots. What kind of grapes? Never seen any with freckles, maybe I'll look closer, they may have. There's a winery a few miles from us if we take the gravel roads.

Hi CardinalLady,Thanks for the compliments.The Muscadine grapes are not quite ready yet this year.I cut them back hard for two years now,for more control and bigger grapes.I'll see the fruits of my labor soon.Fresh grape juice is the best,you must try it.
