Nightime Beach Party

This was a beach party with a band in Hawaii last week. I took a number of shots from across a small bay. I liked this first one, but didn't like the loss of texture in the water.
The second one is an HDR made by saving copies of the first at exposures of -2ev, -1ev, metered, +1ev and +2ev exposure and then processing all five in Photomatix.

Yep, the second one looks better. Shows that pseudo-HDR does work.

Much prefer the second, you have recovered the detail and got rid of the the blown out and flared light.
