Susan, Welcome to UHH. I grew up in Broward and Palm Beach counties and went through many storms down there. I will stay safe and will not take any foolish drives or outside looks at this storm. I grew out of that in the 60s.

Chuck, are you on Vacation? I have family in the area and hope and pray all goes great for you. With the forecasted track you may end up with more wind and rain then we are expecting so stay safe.

Val, I appreciate your comment and everything is looking good for myself and the area around Raleigh. Can not say the same for people South and East of Raleigh. At the SE border of NC and SC they are getting strong wind and rain. The rivers are starting to go over their banks as the result of the heavy rain and storm surge.

Latest update.
We lost power early today and just got it back. We are getting rain and minimal wind, maybe up to 20mph and gusts maybe to 40mph. This area and up into VA should be AOK.
