Update-I have received the D610 and have been testing this lens on it. There is definitely a difference in sharpness using the same settings. I still have a lot of practicing to do, but the difference is definitely significantly better with the d610 vs the d3300. It could be because of the sensor providing better performance at higher ISO levels, like 6400 or that general area, but I am definitely happy with what I am seeing so far. That DXomark website is very informative and useful for anyone who's interested. I am still going to take all of the great advice from everyone to improve my technique and use my gear to its fullest potential, but this camera has definitely helped so far.
