I've been trying to figure out how to make this work. Really getting frustrated. I've downloaded transfer software and still can't get it to work. Can anyone provide a simple solution for me? Thanks.

Do you have the iOS equivalent of Excel on your phone. The app store has pages & numbers which will read MSWord & Excel files. I have them on my iPad & keep a couple spreadsheets for 1 of my hobbies updated on it.

One way might be to email them or put them in a SMS message to yourself. Then you can click on the file icon and tell the phone to open it in excel. Might need to do this to individual files, not a group of them. The other way is with a Mac you can connect the phone to the computer and synch the files using iTunes. Apps that will do this are listed on the apps window in iTunes when you browse the phone that is connected. At least this used to work haven't tried it in a while! Good luck!

Save the excel file from your computer to your iCloud. open your excel app on your phone and open the file from your iCloud. simple.
I do it all the time. I use OneDrive , I have a Windows computer and an Android phone and I have many files that are permanently on OneDrive and I use daily from different devices.

Connect your iPhone to PC and open iTunes.
Open file sharing and click on Excel.
Drag the Excel file you want to open onto the Excel documents window.

Now you have that file in you iPhone and can be open with Excel iPhone.
