I would love to be able to edit my videos where I forgot the camera was recording and walked around with it or pointed it at the ground and wouldn't want to include the "Aw Shit" I blurted out when I realized it. I have never edited a piece of video in my life. I would be happy with just cutting the dumb bits out. Maybe I can do audio tracks or slo mo later but for now I would like to just be able to do anything. I only have two requirements:
Free for PC
Easy to use.
I'll be using a 6D II 1080P which seems to produce MP4 files.
Would you mind making some recommendations?
Thanks guys,
Pat

That looks fantastic. Exactly what I was thinking of. Thanks so much for the tip!

If you use Photoshop or Elements, you can do what you want to do in either.

With PS CC look in the upper right corner and click on the little square for Selecting Workspace - choose Motion. Load the video and go.

None of the Photoshop Elements programs can edit video. Adobe's consumer level video editing program is Premiere Elements 2018 - the current version. It integrates nicely with the Organizer of PSE. It sells for $80 as of right now. A better approach would be to buy it combined with PSE 2018 for about $120. However, historically Adobe releases a new version of both every year about now, so you may want to wait a bit.

Premiere Elements - I misspoke - Not Photoshop Elements. Like Don26812 says above - the two are available as a bundle for $120, or Premiere Elements alone is $80.
