You can start as many threads as you have pictures you want critiqued. I wouldn't over do it, but there is no rule about how many or how often you can post. Just one photo per thread, to keep it simple.

Technically sound but perhaps a touch over sharpened. Good exposure and focus and depth of field are perfect. The main attraction here is the bear's head, and it is generally not good composition to place it in the centre of the frame. Everyone is interested in the close-up detail in wildlife shots, but often a wider view which includes key context, makes a better "hang it on the wall" print. I would like to see this with all of the bear in the image, if you have one.

Hi, goldfin,

You captured a good image of an battle-worn old bruin with a badly healed fracture of his maxilla (upper jaw and nose) When a bear’s nose is that fractured, his upper jaw was involved also. Lucky to have survived.

Was this at Katmai?
I have seen a photo of the same bear or of a bear similarly injured at Katmai within the past three or four years.
