I am trying to send a folder containing 65 pictures to a friend. I am not sure how best to do this.
Microsoft OneDrive
Drop Box
(There is another.)
Go to wetransfer.com, it's free and you can upload up to 2GB of photos from your computer and email them to whoever you want.
Google Drive is another free alternative, and it gives you 15GB, three times more free space than Dropbox.

I had tried a few billion options before settling on Google Drive.
Print them and mail them via USPS. Yes, Old School, but the least amount of trouble.
Dropbox lets you share folders and contents. 1GB should be enough for 65 photos but check the folder size before you upload.
If you have a Nikon camera, you get oodles of free storage at NikonImageSpace. If you don't you only get 2GB.

DropBox. Free account. Works great!!
I have used Google and Dropbox, which seem to be the consensus here. Both are easy for you and the recipient and give you enough free space for an imaginable number of photos.
I just checked, Nikon Image Space is 20GB of storage for Nikon camera owners. It has ways to display pictures or you can allow people to download the full picture.
Another vote for WeTransfer here - I use it all the time.

Add Google Photos to that list. He can view them online and then download them.

I've not tried any of the suggestions here.
But, what about "zipping" the photos?
I do this quite often and it works like a champ for me?
If the photos are large, and i bet they are, try resizing them to 60% and then zip them.
Once downloaded by the other person they still can be printed to 8x10 without distortion, etc.
Or maybe I need to "get with it grandpa"?
