Nice job. Good comps, might shoot a little tighter but good work. Keep posting. Thanks
Tom
Good shots....I like the low angle.

Thanks tshift….
Unfortunately, this is about a close as I could get. Shooting with a 55-200 mm lens, and most of play was pretty much on the other side of the field and for some reason they would not let me on the other side, so this was about as good as it gets....Tom

No, no your photos are just fine. It is just better to get a good crop in camera are in post processing. I shoot with an 80-200mm sometimes and it is real tough because you have to wait for your shot to come to you. My luck is sometimes questionable. There can be a lot of action on the other end of the field, and I will go down there. You would think OK. No. The action then moves to the other end. Who knows. Also when I first started shooting sports 5-6 years ago especially football, I would think Ok they are moving the ball really well and after this play I will go down in the end zone. Well on that play they go all the way and score a touchdown. Took me quite a while to get that right. Now if I have that feeling I am hoofing it down to the end zone ASAP. Just be patient ( which I for one don't have a lot of, you could ask my wife) and it will come, you shoot good. All photographers and want a be's go through the same thing. Keep posting. Thanks

Hey Tom--good shots. I can relate with the "action on the other side" theme. Welcome to sports, lol. That at least explains the increased DOF in the shots. At first I thought maybe you had the lens set on f/11 or 16. Years ago I got in the habit of spending the first 10-minutes shooting "safety" shots--Obvious shots that don't take a lot of effort, and then the rest of the game shooting for those 2-3 "wow" shots. It takes a lot of anticipation, and some patience. You have the blessing of getting to key on a coupe of youngsters which provides some direction, but then again you're shooting youth sports--nothing is a "given" for sure! Enjoy the games...look forward to seeing more of your shots.
