Nice shot, but what a way to fight! It must have been nerve-wracking loading the rifle and hoping not to get shot while doing it.
Clean & well lit, great job.
The crafters did superb work in those days with the hand tools they had. Thanks for sharing this marvelous capture!!

That’s a nice one--both the rifle and the photo.
I believe that this rifle was a .69 caliber? It is also the primary reason that the Alamo fell. Santa Anna had just purchased 4000 of these rifles from Great Britain to outfit his army, and
soldiers having the same caliber weapon would mean that any rifle picked up in the field would use the ammo in their belt bags, whereas all of the Texans/Americans were using their country rifles with differing calibers so their balls did not match any other rifle's caliber.
