Hope you like my B&W save. Took some quick pics of my Dottie (she hates having her picture taken) and blew out the shadows - not a good pic - but I have such a hard time getting her pic, I decided to try to save it in lightroom.
There is much to enjoy here. The low angle is wonderful, and Dottie's expression priceless. I love the close framing and all the textures and patterns that she seems to blend right into. I find this a highly engaging photo, Fawn.
If you don't mind, I'm very curious to see what you started with, because the b&w seems just perfect and not at all a "save".
Sure. This is what I started from. (I think this is the one...I took about 10 quickly lol and then she jumped down)

Great emotional expression shown.

Fantastic, thanks! The colors obviously compete for attention and your Queen does not receive the attention she deserves
I love seeing examples like this that offer a strong study of when to remove the color.
Thanks Linda, still trying to get used to this camera but making headway. I knew I would have to do something with this photo and to me it looks like there could be a nobleman sitting next to her from the 1800's ;)

very nicely done - she is very expressive and classy and at home. She has someone wrapped around her paws, I can tell.
Good cropping and B/W conversion. Great job
A very nice b&w conversion. I’d like a little more cushion at the bottom but it’s not a deal breaker.
Great work, using technique to catch an emotion and center of interest. Color can be a distraction, but working with saturation and value, made to do what you want with that photo. Yours is so good that the only reason I can see you might want to do this (by selecting and working individually on Dottie--shh, don't let her know you are working on her---and the background) is to emphasize the homeyness of her life. Colors bring that out, and warmth.
Just plain wonderful! I miss our boxer so much! Love the black and white. Wouldn't change a thing!
Absolutely she does! Thank you ;)
