The shot appears to be incredibly sharp. I was not sure that a 2x converter would be that sharp. Great work. May pick up the 1.4x for my 100-400 based your results.

Yes, the Canon 2x converter is very sharp when it is used with a great camera and prime lens. My Canon 300 2.8 II is extremely sharp coupled with my Canon 50.6 MP camera = a very sharp photo.
