Problem attaching a photo in UHH

I know I'm doing something wrong, probably something to do with color space, but whenever I try to attach a photo that I've edited in PS Elements, they don't show up on the Posting except for a link that reads (Download).
Clicking on that link reveals the photo but I'm wondering what it is that I'm doing that causes the photo not to show. Do I need to save it differently? It is saved as a jpeg and sRGB color profile.

If it is other than .jpg it will do that.

Or too large.
Or if you truncated the ".jpg" from the end of the file name.

Walt, if your file name looks correct, please send to me in a pm, and be sure to click the download. Mine always save as "jpg" in Elements, not jpeg. Are you trying to upload from a different device than in the past?

I find it helps if you track down the photograph before posting and when you add the attachment the photograph will pop up with the file your photo is in.

Although I called it a jpeg, the actual extension is jpg. I’m doing nothing different except that the photos I save in Elements don’t show in posts except for the (Download) link. I’m trying to post it in the FYC section. I will try again later and go ahead and post it as it is.

Walt.

Did you check the Color Space or Color Representation property? You want it to be sRGB to post on UHH.

Yes, that is normally the case and it will work like that for me just fine unless I have saved it from PS Elements.

Please read the original post above. It is saved as a jpg and in sRGB color space.

Then post it here so we can inspect it.

You didn't have a problem with this image.

I think maybe you’ve hit on something here. I believe the file I’m attempting to upload is renamed .jpg Edit. I’m going to rename it with a simple .jpg name & see if that does anything.

Yup, problem solved. It had everything to do with the file name. Thanks.

Glad you got it working.

With a file mis-named as you described, you could upload it but nobody would have been able to download it by clocking on the Download link.
