These were taken yesterday afternoon...
Wingate University vs. Chowan University...
Game ended in a 0-0 tie after 2 overtime periods.....
I dont have the greatest lens for shooting sports, but I'am pleased with the way these came out though...
D7100 with the 55-200mm lens..

Regardless of the lens you used, I think you captured the action and intensity quite well!! Nice set of pics!

Bad knees fixing to happen! That's a hard sport.

Nice set Tom! Unless you have a ton of money to purchase a top end camera that shoots mega frames a second and has extreme noise control, sports photography is hard. Keep up the good work though. With practice comes success. Post more. Thanks

Tom

Funny you should say that.....
One of the players on the home team actually recevied a broken leg during this game...
It was not a nice sound to hear either..

Tom with the lens you have these are good. Nikon D7100 is a good camera. Just sold mine that had over 85,000 clicks. The lens your using is not the best for sports. Maybe sell the 55-200 and get a used lens that will help get the shots you desire. 80-400 4.5-5.6 etc. Keep shooting and posting.
