Showing a growing genera we see here, the hotrod ding of a small English sedan. The first image is what is commonly done, fitting a huge modern V-8 engine in a tiny English small sedan. The second image is of a stock English sport coupe on the same chassis. No Californias Car Show is complete without a lowrider!

Great series. Love #1 my favorite color "Candy Apple Red." The beauty of the Hot Rod is greatly shown here. Where was this car show? Mahalo for sharing.

Nice shots, always did like those little Angelias, a lot of them went to the drags. The other looks like a '52 Chev " convertible hardtop ", had one long ago.

Maybe a '53/54 Chevy, look at the parking lights. Newer ones were not round. Good pictures!

This is ‘52 Chevy. The contour of the rear quarter and the position of the parking light below the headlight pegs it as a ‘52. The ‘53 and later Chevys had a higher profile to that rear quarter panel and the parking lights were located inboard from the headlights and wouldn’t be visible in such an angle of view as this photo.

I guess it was cool back then, but I was never a fan of flames.
