Looking for Lens info for Sony A6300

At the moment, my wife has a small Sony DSC point and shoot.
It’s been fine for travel snaps and quick pics when out and about but she now wants something more, that will show better on the large screen of the tv. The small Sony doesn’t really show up well in that sort of size.
So I’ve been researching alternatives for her, mostly using the Compare link that I found on a post on here.
She is suffering from Parkinson’s and is having trouble with strength issues in her hands. As a result, a DSLR like my Canon 7D MkII is out of the question for her.
I am very interested in the Sony A6300 and after several “Compare Camera A” to “Camera B” runs, this fits quite well.
However, I’m not certain of the extra weight a lens will add to the unit as I can’t seem to find a comparison site for lenses. Can’t get everything I suppose.
My question is can anyone tell me what 3rd-party lenses are available for the A6300, so that I can then go look at individual lenses and the weight of each.
She’s not likely to be changing lenses ever as she would find that movement hard to accomplish, so a general purpose zoom is probably what she will end up with.
Thanks
Hoges

Lens compaison tool: https://cameradecision.com/
After launching CameraDecision, on the right you will see a choice marked “Lenses”.
Follow the prompts to make your comparison.

It would be hard to beat the little 16-50mm kit lens that usually comes with the camera. I find it to be an excellent little lens that is easy to use and takes excellent photos. It is also a very light and compact lens. They are around $300 new or around $100+ used or refurbished. With an equivalent focal range of 24mm-75mm it will do it all for normal use.

Yes, if she doesn't require a long zoom, the 16-50 kit lens is a decent lens--small, light, and delivers pretty good images. Many here will pan this lens, but for everyday use, it's hard to beat. Here's a shot I took the other day at a lake several miles up the Glenn Hwy from here, with my A6300 and the 16-50 kit lens.

It's on the camera 95% of the time, but I wish it had a little more zoom range. I think 16-70 would be perfect if it could be kept the same size as the 16-50.

When I travel, I often leave my "big stuff" at home. My primary camera/lens is the A6300 and Sony/Zeiss Vario-Tessar T* E 16-70 mm F4 ZA OSS. https://www.sony.com/electronics/camera-lenses/sel1670z . It has great reviews. Not cheap, but price recently dropped $100.

Don't overlook the Sony RX100 line - I have both the model V and the a6300. I find I use the RX100 more often. Pictures look great on our 74" 4k TV. It is certainly much lighter and easier to carry than the 6300 and the newest version (the model VI) has a much longer lens. One caveat, it is quite small and your wife may find it challenging to manipulate. Best of luck to you both!

The Sony a6xxx series has Clear Image Zoom that doubles the apparent focal length (jpeg only). I have the a6000 with the pancake 16-50 and have only started trying out Clear Image Zoom but it gets good reviews.

Just bought the A6300 with the stock, or common, lens. Arrives next week. Thanks for all the input - I set great store by it all on here.
Off to Bali again in 3 weeks and hoping to get to the lesser-known waterfalls like Sing Sing. Then after that, we are looking at heading to Bremer Bay and the Fitzgerald River National Park where the wildflowers will be out on display.
The Sony will be working overtime, as will my Canon.
Thanks again for the help.

That camera is gonna spoil ya!

(I have several very fine cameras, yet I keep returning to my a6000, when "the chips are down". Even shot a wedding with it, a month ago, and I know absolutely nothing about wedding photography, except that I have a newfound and deep respect for wedding photographers ;^)

OK people:- yesterday was the first outing for the 6300, to Manea Park here in the SW of Western Australia. My wife took quite a few photos of the orchids there.

Her/My/Our next question is: what's a good 'macro' lens for this camera. There seems to be a great number by manufacturers I've never heard of. Which doesn't mean they're bad, just that I've never heard of them.
Flower shots, 1:1, not mini-mini-tiny microbes etc (I have a medical friend who does that stuff for his university, but his camera cost over $50,000).
Our next trip is to Bali next week but I know it won't arrive by then. After that, Fitzgerald River National Park and I would hope to have it by then.
