Can this be true?
Maybe that explains why we'll never see his tax returns.
Either way Governor - This issue ain't going away.

Can what be true? That Harry Reid is a idiot? Yes that is certainly true..

That Romney paid no taxes? Highly unlikely!

I just read another article that said he paid $428 in 2008.

Everything you read will be a lie!

Since truth is in such short supply, why doesn't Mitt step up like his father and release ten years of tax returns? There must be a reason. John McCain has seen them, and picked Sarah Palin instead. Romney had more personal wealth, more name recognition, and a full term governorship in Massachusetts under his belt. McCain is about as honorable a man as you will find in modern politics. What does he know that we don't?

Why does everyone post crap like this?

We as Americans have the freedom to PAY AS LITTLE TAXES AS WE LEGALLY CAN....If I could figure out how to pay 0 taxes legally I'd certainly do it...

Step off PLEASE!

I suspect there are some half truths being published. It's possible that he paid 0 incomes taxes, but paid plenty in capital gains taxes. Someone wanting it to look badly would cleverly leave the second part out.

Not sure since I haven't seen the returns. However, he has released as much as any other candidate to my knowledge.
My personal view is that all candidates should have to release 10 years of returns in order to be eligible to be on the ballot. Unfortunately, the law is different for every state, and so this would have to be a federal law, and since the guys in Congress have political ambition of their own, they will hype this to the nth degree, but they will absolutely never vote on it.

It would be in his best interest to get this issue out of the way. Look at where he is today. He's toured Europe and Israel and gaffs aside it seemed to go okay. But what are we still talking about? Tax returns. He can put an end to this or it will haunt him to the end. He can't change the news cycle until he puts an end to this one.

No..he can't.

Because as soon as he provides the returns....then the busybodies will demand something else or have some complaint about HOW he provided them, or the content or SOMETHING....

If Americans are anything we are demanding and bloodthirsty.

Well maybe you're right. Have you read the latest news about him giving his nephew a contract at the 2002 Olympics?
He seems to be ethically challenged.

If you thought that you didn't like Mitt Romney before, or had reason to believe that you couldn't trust him, please take a few minutes to read this article.

I fear this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Why is it whenever the far right has no answer they resort to calling names? Guess it's easier than accepting facts you don't like.

So Harry Reid, the Majority leader in the Senate, the second most powerful man in the country and one of probably the 10 most powerful men in the world casts aspersions that are not worthy of a third grader in a sandbox and you don't think he is an idiot... He is supposed to be a serious man leading this country out of what has shaped up to be one of the biggest crises of my lifetime, and he will get up and make outrageous and serious allegations with no evidence whatsoever and use an anonymous phone call as his source.... An you think that I have no answer and am just resorting to name calling? Are you serious? I repeat, he is an idiot and shows no respect for himself or his office.

That's a bogus argument.
Aparently, releasing his returns will have more negative impact on his campaign, than not doing so.
I don't know what it is, I have no reason to believe he did anything illegal. I do believe that his returns will paly into the populist belief that the wealthy have all the cards stacked in their benefit.
