You are most welcome. There is a LOT I don't know about photography, especially this brave, new, digital world. If I don't know, I try to remain silent, and if I do know, I try to speak up. A wise man once said that knowing the difference between what you don't know and what you "know" that is wrong is the very definition of wisdom. I may not be, but I'd rather be wise than right....

Wisdom is also the courageous willingness to change your mind when you realize you were wrong...

Fair point, Bill. Fortunately, because I rarely speak up without facts, I don't need to do this very often.

Same to you, of course.

Thanks. It’s an important concept for all to consider, especially when we have such tribal tendencies in society today.

But we digress...

100% is the point you can crop to without the image pixilating. As others have said, it is one pixel of image to one pixel of display on your monitor. Most monitors (except 4K) are limited to about 2MP or less. So at 100% resolution you may have to scroll the image across several monitor widths. 100% resolution becomes important when you crop heavily, like a small bird in a tree, cropped to show the bird the maximum size without pixelating the image. When images are uploaded to UHH and the "store original" box is checked, you can see them at 100% resolution by clicking on "Download", then clicking on the "+". Some people refer to this as pixel peeping. Viewing at 100% resolution is also useful when removing artifacts like specs or lint from an image.
