Labor Day surfing photos

I think my friends here at UHH have sterotyped me into a "surfer" photographer. To keep those UHH members happy I'm posting this "Labor Day surfing photos" thread for them. Since it was Labor Day and the waves were half way decent, there were quite a few people in the water. These were all taken from my favorite vantage point: The Huntington Beach Pier. Change that to "talented surfer photog" - your photos make it seem like we're close enough to feel the spray.

Thanks sroter........I must say that I have been surfing most of my life and have a sincere interest in surfing photos now. Years of shooting surfers has put me where I am now. It's my favorite subject.

Great series. But in one of them, it looks as though the swimmer is in a very dangerous position! Is that called heavy traffic?
