So nice to see you again jackie...You're very kind and I do always appreciate your eyes and constructive criticism...It was around mid-day..used a six stop ND filter to get a 1/30 of a second exposure when panning for this shot..Many thanks again and I hope all is well your way...I'd like to give you a call sometime to pick your brain about cropping and compo...Todd
Greeting Dpullum....I was doing a panning situation with my Nikon D850 with a 15-30 tamron lens...Got it to about 1/30 exposure...Handheld the camera and moved from left to right along the horizon line...It takes me many many tries to get an acceptable photo...Thanks my friend..Hope all is well..Todd
Hey jerry, nice to see you again...And, thanks for being so kind with the comments..Hope all is well in the Catskills...Todd

timm27, another FANTASTIC compliment..I'm gonna put together a few of these abstract photos as part of a website to sell one day....i wish the Kennedy Studios would be interested...Thanks again...Todd
Thanks so much Linda2...very very kind of you and I DO appreciate it.....Hope all is well your way...Todd
thanks Daryl...I've been doing this panning technique and have had some good results with the right shooting circumstances...This look doesn't appeal to everyone..As with most art of some form, very subjective...I happen to like it and I suppose it counts for something..I'm glad you like it...Thanks again, Todd
Water Falls, thanks and thanks again...Kind of you to take time to make a comment...Hope all is well your way...Todd
Thanks so much Jackie...I just wrote out 14 acknowledgments and none showed up...Darn it...Anyway, nice to see you again and I always appreciate the extra eyes and constructive criticism...It helps me quite a bit...Hope all is well your way...Todd
Hi Todd --
I also like to do panning, zooming in or out while using a slow shutter speed, shooting from a car, etc. It doesn't cost any extra money (the way film used to) and it's fun to check the results. Takes a lot of time, though. Right now, I'm trying to do "creative" images by using layers in Adobe PS. But it's a 'long row to hoe'. -- Jackie
