Hummy on a Cloudy Day

Forcast was for rain, clouds dark, but sitting on my deck hoping a hummy would come by. Had my camera set on ISO Priority, 1200 and f/6. I was amazed with the automatic set ISO of 3200 the pictures came out as they did. Never shot with such a high ISO before. I like No. 2 the best.

Like #2 also, but my fave is 3. head peeking out through wings. YES!

All three shots are good! The background on the first image is nice and clean, but the bird and flower work perfectly together on the next shots. It proves the point that hummers are attracted to the color red. I'm going to plant red flowers next year and hope that I can get some shots as good as yours! -- PixieJackie
