Hedgehog caught shooting the Belle!

Got an e-mail from "James 56", our mutual friend from Nashville. I have been keeping him posted on the restoration of the famous "Memphis Belle" at the USAF museum in Dayton Ohio. A friend of mine has been involved in that restoration from the start and has been graciously keeping me up to date on it's progress, and I have passed that information on to James.
It is beautifully finished and on display at the museum, I relayed that information and last week James shot me an e-mail and said that he would be here this weekend. While it was good to see him, it was even better to snap a picture of him photographing his favorite aircraft. Looking forward to seeing his finished images!

I appreciate that Earnest, that is just a hand held shot with my Oly. 4/3rd. I'm going back today with a tri-pod, full frame and a 20mm. Hopefully I can improve that a little.

Thank you my friend, I returned today with a tri-pod, a full frame and a 20mm lens. It always helps to get the shaky old man out of the equation! LOL. I got to see the sad piece of junk when they started and have watched them work their magic over the years. It was truly a labor of love and they did it right. To the last detail it is perfect except for the fact that it will never fly again.
James will post some pictures soon and I am looking forward to that. Take care.

Phil, it is one of my favorite WWII planes also. As far as B17s go, there is none better. Thanks for the post and photo.
