Although 'contemplating' might not be the right word to use to describe Liz's somewhat squinty mien. I usually only see that sort of 'look' when I see someone about to do some serious monkey-wrenching. Or eat a bug.
Ok, ok-- I promise not to beat this dead horse --er, Laud this Lovely Lizard-- any further.
Until the next time.
It's a great idea to use different lizard poses! You may have a book here: Liz Goes To..., Liz Sees..., etc.

Anybody here ever heard of a 'Flat Stanley'? A Flat Stanley is a folded up cartoonish figure of some doofy-looking guy that people --mostly school kids-- would mail out to Parks. The deal was, when Stanley arrived in the mail, somebody was supposed to take him out to one or two of the more identifiable places in the park, unfold him, take a picture with some readily identifiable feature in the background, date and sign the shot(s), and send it back. The person would then send Stanley out to some next park, where the process would be repeated. I'd been told that some people --kids-- over time had amassed shots from EVERY National Park/National Monument in the system. Pretty impressive, in its own way. I was assigned to shoot a couple of Stanleys while I worked at Arches, and doing so was fun. Thinking about doing the same with Liz.... Can you see her sitting on Abe's lap at the Lincoln Memorial? Or peering over the edge of Half Dome? That would be a good book, methinks.
High f stop for that shot. Well done. vz
Liz, the Regent, goes where ever she wants!
I'm really liking this. I've got to go get a lizard of my own.

And methinks this is a great idea. Since you're so familiar with the procedure, it should be easy to do. I'd love to know how it goes. But I still want to see Liz in more of your shots!

A Regent will do what a Regent will do, and none dare interfere, y'know?

One doesn't 'get a lizard' lightly and without long deliberation. They're exceedingly demanding, and will
not suffer second rate store-bought bugs without letting you know in the most insidious of ways. Don't say you weren't warned.........
Great shot, so many photo ops in your part of the country. Have you driven Shaffers Trail? I liked it, my wife had nothing good to say about it.
