Looks like some of the scenes I saw in LA., branches so long and old that they rest on the ground and still keep growing. Are they called Live Oaks?

You mean the view on a plantation. This isn't an ordinary house scene. Plantation owners knew how to live.

Actually this is in the middle of the town I live in an is a two or three acre lot with a relatively new house on it.

A very inviting photo. For me, any road/lane with grass growing in the middle is inviting, kind of a "road/lane less travelled".
