In this work, both the photographer and the painting on the easel represent the more broad idea of how we see. Something is recorded, our mind makes something of it, which accounts for arguments, Art, politics.......

Interesting juxtaposition.

However I must admit, at first glance I didn't recognize the photographer shape, and assumed it was simply some abstract shadow area in the background. Because of this, it took me a while to understand exactly what you were trying to say.

An interesting piece Bob. It took me a few seconds to see the photographer but it does pull you in and keeps you looking. That's what you want. Maybe that is part of what your piece says, not everyone recognizes photography as art. I like it.

While the end result is not pleasing to me, (An irrelevant point really) it is fascinating to see you put disparate items together and make them connect. I might not like it; but it is engaging.

Hi Bob-
You refer to the painting ON the easel. I see a painting OF an easel with a painting in progress. Unimportant observation. Thought of it while wondering if the painter shouldn't receive equal credit. I must admit to finding myself mentally filling in details of the photog's face and camera.
I hate all that because I love what you have done: a really strong abstract (well, almost)--combining painting with photography, oozing with taste and talent.
Always looking forward to your work.

Thank you very much for your comments. Some small details help me understand perception.
