These are from the Bournemouth Air Show - which continues into the evening with a dusk display. Pretty much the same every year but its been a while so I went along last night. Not the easiest conditions - poor light, moving aircraft and fireworks! Here's a few for your consideration - points regarding technique would be most useful, and perhaps crop, otherwise you're pretty much stuck with what you get!

The first two are fascinating because I've never seen an air show after dark! Your composition of #1 says, "thrills and chills that will leave you breathless!" Love it.

The Ferris wheel is a bit tight against the top of the frame, but the bright white exposure of the intricate structure is very engaging against the colors and the dark surroundings. A couple of thoughts:

I'd only taken my 100-400 and extender (to save weight, you understand) and just couldn't do better with the wheel. I did get the close-up crops though! It is quite striking against the dark sky.
Four years ago did a full day there and thinking about it again - it is hard work on your own as you daren't leave the spot you've bagged or its gone, so very little to drink despite the sunshine! Fitted the Wimberley (copy) to my cf tripod just in case the mood takes me. Should have done it for last night, which were just handheld. Thanks for your thoughts on them Linda.

Airplanes and shows are exciting enough. Add to that the fireworks and the word that comes to mind is: frenetic. I love them.
