Has anyone used this product:
https://thetrendstate.com/products/professional-camera-flex-z-tilt-pan-head# I was wondering if it could replace the L brackets you need to replace every time you get a new model camera? Was also wondering if it would work as well as the platypod that is used for macro and for shooting loons eye level from a pontoon! I'm not sure how solid it looks, any insight appreciated! Thank you so much.
That was discussed a few months ago, and the general opinion wasn't very good. Maybe a search will turn something up.
EDIT: Nope! Search didn't help. This demonstrates why it's good to use meaningful titles, as you did.

Jerryc41, do you recall why it was not so well liked?
I find this very interesting and reasonable cost too.
I was thinking more use for Macro shooting, but from all the angles it moves to, it could be used for just about anything.
My only concern would be just putting the bracket and camera mounted if the weight of the camera would cause the camera to topple over at some of the angles?
The purpose of an L-bracket is to let the camera be turned 90 degrees and still be centered over the tripod. That device doesn’t allow that.
It might work for macro, but stability would be the concern.
I have one and never use it..... It's a gimmick.
When I watched the video the camera turned from landscape to portrait, that is why I thought it might be a L bracket replacement.

I was unclear. Yes, the camera can be rotated 90 degrees, but my friend has one and it was extremely unstable in that orientation.
Most ball heads have a slot that allows 90 degree rotation with more stability.

I bought one but I bought through Amazon at a fraction of the cost. I used it two times.
I’m leery of any third-party product labeled “Professional”. It usually isn’t.
And true in this case....
